PROPOSED PLAYGROUND FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS

This playground aims to make the most of a five meter wide space along buildings. Quiet spaces on the edges allow for individual play and “hiding”, still within eyesight of the teachers.

The climbing equipment aims to challenge the children more than standard equipment, with moveable ropes, for example.

A disc swing allows for spinning and development of the vestibular sense without taking up as much space as a normal swing.

Because three-year-olds cannot yet hang for long periods from their hands, a very low monkey bar is proposed to help them start to use their upper bodies more.
